About the conference
The start-up exhibition and Conference «42» will take place in Moscow on May 28th and 29th, 2012. The main goal of the event is to bring together the representatives of the leading European, American and Russian startup environments. The event is an opportunity for the entrepreneur to present their startups to the leading venture capital investors. It is also an opportunity for investors to select perspective projects for funding.
The primary goal of this Event is to create an effective, permanent communication platform for entrepreneurs and VCs. The Conference and Startup Exhibition “42” is expected to become an annual event where interested parties will be able to share their experience and establishing new relationships with prospective partners from all over the world. Another goal set by the organizers is to integrate the Russian startup market into the international venture capital system as a full-scale prospective partner.
The program of the event is designed to show to the World Startup Community that the great potential of Russia, as a full-scale startup partner, simply cannot be ignored any longer.
The event is expected to attract more than 1,500 people: perspective and successful Internet-entrepreneurs, venture capital investors, representatives of venture capital funds, business-angels, highly-regarded experts and specialists in the field of new technologies.
May 28 – dinner for the selected speakers, investors and representatives of the best start-ups.
The main day of the Conference (May 29th) will consist of 2 main parts: abundant Conference program will be accompanied by a Startup Exhibition displaying about 50 startups working in the sectors of the Internet, IT, high-tech, bio-tech, clean-tech and medical technologies. The Exhibition is planned to be more like a networking platform rather than a formal event.
The public pitching of the 6 best startups, pre-selected by a jury will conclude the Event. The pitching will be set on the main stage where the one winner will be announced.
